"My heroes are and were my parents. I Can't see having anyone else as my heroes."
-Michael Jordan
My goal as a teacher is to teach your children how to appreciate history, and to help them enjoy their time learning about history. More importantly though, I hope to help guide your children to become the best they can be. I realize your child has 6 other classes, and I don't want my class to become a burden to my students, however, I do have high standards for their work. Here are a few things you should know about my class:
- I do not intend to give homework with only one night to work on it. If I give homework, they will have at least two nights to work on it, or it was class work they didn't finish.
- We do a lot of hands-on and engaging activities, I strongly encourage participation in these lessons. It will help them learn and grow in huge ways, and they will have a lot of fun along the way.
- I have alternate seating in my room, to provide a unique and comfortable learning environment. Majority of the seating is bought with my own money, so it is important for my students to understand respect for the seating. If this becomes a problem, they may be removed from certain areas of the room.
